Who We Are

Welcome to Maritime Academy Trust

We are a family of 13 schools, home to more than 4,000 pupils and 700 staff across Greenwich, Bexley, Kent and Medway. From our beginnings in Greenwich to today, we’ve grown with one shared purpose: to give every child an excellent start in life.

At Maritime, education is about more than test scores. It’s about sparking creativity, building resilience, nurturing curiosity, and growing confidence. Our six key behaviours: adaptability, collaboration, creativity & innovation, humility, humour & positivity, and supportiveness & trust, guide the way we work with each other and our communities.

We’re proud of what we’ve built and excited about what’s ahead: a trust where innovation thrives, collaboration drives improvement, and every child is supported to flourish.

The future is digital, and we’re preparing children now. Through our 1:1 Device Project, every pupil from Year 3 upwards has their own Chromebook. This isn’t about screen time for the sake of it; it’s about unlocking creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, and preparing pupils for a world that doesn’t yet exist.

Every Key Stage 2 child benefits from this project, with particular focus on supporting disadvantaged pupils. It’s one of the many ways we’re making sure technology acts as a bridge to opportunity, never a barrier.
